CMSO General Meeting June 9-11 2010

This meeting is also sponsored by JSPS Core-to-Core Program on CMSO

All areas of CMSO research will be included, but Momentum Transport and Turbulence will be emphasized, As usual, there will be both oral and poster presentations. Michael Brown is chairing the organizing committee for the General Meeting, preceded by a one day Young CMSO meeting for students and young scientists on June 8. Tim Gray - tgray1 at swarthmore dot edu is chairing the Young CMSO organizing committee.

Lodging - Mike B suggests the convenient, inexpensive option of staying at the brand-new, air-conditioned David Kemp dorm. That option allows an attendee to fly into Philadelphia, take Septa (rail) to Swarthmore, stay on campus, and not need a rental car. Participants staying at the David Kemp dorm need to prepay with cash or check (to Swarthmore College) for $35 for each night plus a $3.50 fee for linens/towels. Payment is due at the time of check-in.

There is also the option of Days Inn in nearby Springfield 2 miles from campus:

Food - Dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday nights is on your own. For those staying at David Kemp dorm, there are a few options in Swarthmore village (across the street). Cheng Hing Restaurant, 333 Dartmouth Avenue. Renato Pizza, 8 Park Avenue. Aria Mediterranean Cuisine, 405 Dartmouth Ave.
